Diva Challenge #198

This isn't that simple...but it only uses one tangle in one instance, so - good enough for me.

My Tangle: Lian

Lian came out of this post and is rather obviously the tangle on the right. I did toy with calling it "Migraine" like Sandy suggests, but...yeah, I changed my mind. Since I'm currently enrolled in Chinese I in school and loving it, I decided to name my tangle Lian - a Chinese word for chains. Hope you enjoy ^_^

Diva Challenge #197 Takes 1 & 3

That's right, 1 and 3. Why? Because take 2 was so absolutely hideous that I just don't have the guts to post it.

Take 1                    A fairly simple 3-Aruka arrangement on a Bijou tile.
Tangles used: Arukas, Hurry

Take 2  On this one I took Arukas's natural weave and used it to create an Auraknot in the center.
Tangles used: Arukas, Auraknot

Diva Challenge #196

If I was a girl, I would definitely wear a dress like this. But I'm not a girl, so I'll just settle for meeting one with a dress like this. Now if only something cool like that could actually happen.
Tangles used: Mooka, Pokeleaf, Bales, Tink, Arukas, Holibaugh, Bran, Retro, Sooflowers

Things on Tan

So, I recently dropped by the local art
store and got a neat Strathmore Tan-Toned notebook. Here are the two ZIAs that I've done in it so far. The top one includes two of my own tangles, Lian (the chain-like one going down into the bottom-left corner) and Merida (The swirly one right underneath Biscus and above Zenplosion Folds). I'll be posting the steps soon ^_^
Mooka, Tesali, Zenplosion Folds, Biscus, Btl Joos, Bran, Pokeleaf, Pokeroot, Finery,
Indy-Rella, Fescu, Lian, Merida
Tangles used: Mooka, Qian-Long, Btl Joos, Twenty One, Diva Dance, Flux, Dansk, Arukas,
Zenplosion Folds, Yew-dee, Tesali, Onomato, Yuma

Diva Challenge #195 - Take 2

So, after I put a non-grid tangle into a grid, I naturally had to take a grid tangle out of a grid, right? I decided to use Elena Hadzijaneva's Bran-stepout here. I ended up using the very last of my really crappy pulp-board tiles that I bought off Amazon when I was beginning Zentangle. So, thank god that those are all gone. ^_^ I really like the stark, minimalist look of this one.

Diva Challenge #195

The second after I posted a comment on this challenge lamenting the fact that I had to figure out how to put Mooka in a grid, inspiration struck. :)

Presenting...Mooka-a-la-Assunta!
